Additional Resources
After fully exploring our website and reading each of our articles, you may be hungry for more resources--which we list below. Of course, we recommend that you do more than just learn information, which won't change your life. (Click here for reasons why.) That is why we developed a 12-week daily study and recommend you establish an accountability partner. Both are listed at the quick links to the right under "Resources."
Below are additional resources, both from us and other ministries, to assist you in your new journey.
More Resources for Christian Growth:
The PROVEN™ model for breaking free and staying free from the bondage to compulsive sexual behaviors is to be ever striving to be more and more:
Passionate for God
Repentant in spirit
Open and honest in relationships
Victorious in living
Eternal in perspective
Networked with other godly men
In other words, healing from sexual brokenness does not end after 12 weeks. Instead, PROVEN Men and PROVEN Women™ must keep striving for absolute purity all the days of their lives. Daily we need doses of each of the PROVEN acronym components.
Below are several articles geared towards fostering spiritual growth, which is essential for winning the daily battles.
Purpose in Life
Developing a Heart of Worship
Falling in Love With God by Following His Ways
How to Write a Psalm
Relational Exercises

Memorizing Scripture
Our 12 week study, Striving for Absolute Purity, suggests you put to memory 12 verses--learning one verse per week. Click here for the list of the verses. Begin today by hiding these life-changing passages into your heart and allowing them to start changing your life.
Below are added resources from other miniistries, which you might find helpful.
Books on Sexual Purity or Healing:
False Intimacy by Harry Schaumburg (NavPress, 1997; 800-366-7788) [explaining how we came to form false and shallow relationships and why we need an intimate relationship with Jesus and others].
Sexual Healing: A Biblical Guide to Finding Freedom from Sexual Sin and Brokenness, by Dr. David Kyle Foster, (RegalBooks); See also (www.MasteringLife.org) [guiding you further away from sexual immorality and into yet a deeper relationship with Jesus].
The Wounded Heart by Dr. Dan Allender (NavPress). [exposing how inappropriate sexual influences during childhood lead to closed relationships which carry over into adulthood, and discussing how to tear down walls].
Other Daily Work Books:
By studying the Bible you will grow deeper in your relationship with God. Other tools that may help assist you in your study of the Scriptures are:
Self Confrontation, by John Broger (Thomas Nelson Publishers) (619-773-2667);
Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God, by Henry Blackaby and Claude King (Lifeway Press) (800-458-2772);
Lord Is It Warfare?: Teach Me To Stand, by Kay Arthur (Questar Publishing); and
The Walk of Repentance, (www.purelifeministries.org)
Spending time daily in study is vital to breaking free from (and remaining victorious over) sexual bondage. In addition, these help develop the discipline necessary to battle temptations. Remember, a changed heart is demonstrated by your willingness to do "whatever it takes." By meeting with the Lord and flooding your mind with godly inputs (while starving the self-centered inputs), your mind and heart will be "renewed and transformed" into the image of the Lord Jesus Christ. Once an intimate relationship with Jesus is established and ongoing, the byproduct is a loosening of the grip of lust, replaced with a heartfelt desire for things above.
Books on Prayer and Spiritual Growth:
As you begin leading a victorious life, you will thirst for deeper spiritual things and to yield more and more of your life to the Holy Spirit. Some examples of books on seeking the face of God, include:
Moving Through Your Problems Towards FINDING GOD, by Larry Crabb (Zondervan Publishing), and
Inside Out, by Larry Crabb (NavPress).
Perhaps the best books on prayer that we have seen are the handful written by E.M. Bounds, available at most book stores.
Television and Music:
Chances are you have been spending a lot of time watching TV or listening to music. While there are no absolutes as to whether TV and music are bad, we know that it takes time away from other things. In addition, we are told: "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good and pleasing perfect will (Romans 12:2)." It seems wise, therefore, to strictly limit the time and content of what TV you watch, and to switch over completely to Christian music. You will be pleasantly surprised to learn about the variety and quality of Christian music! Give your mind a break, and fill it (renew it) with the type of godly inputs discussed above.

Additional Resources: Internet Blocks and Filters
Pornography is only a mouse click away! Don't constantly tempt yourself or risk letting someone innocently stumble upon pornography on your computer; use a filter, or better yet switch to an Internet provider that blocks objectionable sites on their end. Viewing pornography on the Internet can be addictive to both children and adults. Using a block helps prevent even a hint of sexual immorality in your household. There are hundreds of filters, just use Internet filter as a search term. In addition, some companies, such as www.hedgebuilders.com, offer discounts to churches and missionaries.
