Cale got his undergraduate degree in Biblical Studies and his Masters of Arts in English. Now, he works here at Proven Men and is bent on helping men find freedom from the enslavement that pornography can produce.
Cale struggled with pornography for roughly ten years, and in that time, he could not find freedom. It wasn’t until he started realizing that porn was simply a band-aid for other inner issues that he was able to find freedom. He realized that his struggles with sexual integrity were pervading his whole imagination, not just his screen. Only when he developed a deeper intimacy with Jesus was he able to let Him de-root the strongholds of pornography in his life.
“Jesus deeply knows my weakness and my struggles. He’s always with me—in the dark places and in the light, beautiful places. He’s gentle with me, and I can come to Him confidently.”
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
