I was in the adult film industry for seven years of my life. Like many people, I was searching for love and acceptance. I was searching for the right things, but I was searching for them in all the wrong places. For many years, I believed the lie that sex and promiscuity were empowering, that I was somehow more loved if a man would sleep with me. This very lie is what led me into the porn industry; this lie is also what is leading the secular world today and sadly much of the church. The truth is, we are not empowered through sex, nor how desirable we are to the opposite sex. We are empowered because of who we are in Christ. It took me nearly 26 years of my life to discover this truth.
I thought I would find what I was looking for in sex, fame, and money but after seven years in the porn industry I was left more broken than before. I had become a full-blown drug addict, doing whatever drug I could get my hands on. My life was a mess.
