C.S. Lewis: Sex, Sexuality, and Marriage w/ Michael Ward
The world renowned C. S. Lewis scholar, Dr. Michael Ward, joins Proven’s podcast The Naked Gospel to discuss Lewis’ view of sexuality. In this episode, Shane and Michael discuss everything from Lewis’ personal struggles to his views on gender and contraceptives.
There have been many questions around Lewis own struggle with sexuality. Many have wondered if he struggled with homosexuality, while there is also evidence that before he became a Christian he was sleeping with an older woman. Lewis has also written about sexual integrity and the significance of gender — even going so far as to theme one of his Narnia books around femininity and another book around masculinity. This episode examines his personal life, as well as his views on sexuality.
